As your days so shall your strength be…The eternal God is your refuge, and underneath are the everlasting arms…
Deuteronomy 33 : 25…27 ( I find this so reassuring. There is nothing so powerful as thoughts centered on God.)

A spiny shrub.
A succulent but not a cactus.
It scrambles over other plants with its straight, slender, woody arms. It grows where it stays warm and doesn’t thrive if watered too much. It is thought that the crown placed on Jesus head was from this shrub or that it is a reminder of it with its blood like flowers.
Problems are only opportunities with thorns on them.

The mountains seemed to funnel the wind and make its voice fierce,
more like the voice of an untamed prehostoric animal ,
we didn’t sleep much and wondered if the candleabra tree would still be standing.
I am so pleased it was still holding its branches to the sky this morning.

A wind ruffled creature rescued and cared for. A pleasure to see. They inhabit Sub-Sahara Africa.

This Eagle may be the origin of the Zimbabwe bird, the national emblem of Zimbabwe.
Dad spent today in bed. He isn’t that keen to get up at all. He says tomorrow he will go out with us.
Take care.
Sandy 🙂
That is a terrifying plant and a beautiful bird! Your painting looks great too, Sandy!
Thank you. We were allowed into the enclosure and I was 2 foot from the bird. It was amazing to see so much detail. I held the plant with the secateur it was so spiky.
Africa and it’s treasures You are lucky to get so close to all Hugs to Dad x
A priviledge. That eagle being connected to Zimbabwe was very special to look at. All the vultures and eagles there had very sad stories. They aim to release but those animals people don’t see.
Dad is weaker today. It is upsetting Shelly a lot.
Shucks, that wind was dreadful! Expected more damage than that!
It was memorable.
