We can’t hide from God. For there is not a word on my tongue but you Lord know it, all of it.
Psalm 139: 4 ( Sandy’s wording)

This is what he created with them the week before he conducted our wedding ceremony.
Shells brownblackwhite picked up at the beginning of our love
An 18 and 19 - year- old
Picking them up as they talked of a future
What future?
Something unseen , unformed!
But here these shells are framed
Our love carefully placed and some of it lost with only edges to show.
This frame holds the pick ups from a life long ago
Love was then a warm mystery slowly moving to the fulfilment of time.
Happy valintines day my old love.
We are 67 and 66 now!
Sandy 🙂

We are pleased to have this photograph taken by Roy’s Mathematics lecturer .
A wonderful memory.

Some kind sayings using shells that made me think:
Don’t let the waves of others drown out your own ocean song. Hold your heart as though it was a sea shell. And listen to it. Listen to its music. To the whisper of the ocean within. And then swim to your own ocean music.
S.C. Laurie .( She is a writer and dance teacher , living on the outskirts of London.)
When I lean my ear up against your seashell heart, I can hear an ocean of loving roaring inside.
John Mark Green. ( iT tech by profession but writing his true profession)
May you always have a shell in your pocket and sand between your toes.

Now some thoughts about gaps:
‘The great enemy of clear language is insincerity. When there is a gap between one’s declared aims, one turns, as it were, instinctively to long words and exhausted idioms, like a cattlefish squirting ink.’
George Orwell ( 1903-1950 English novelist. This is his pen name his real name is Eric Arthur Blair)
‘Because there is that sort of feeling that people don’t know what to do with gaps in their lives. It’s a scary notion, but actually, if you can stand in space just for a little while, a new door will open, or you will be able to see in the dark after a while. You’ll adjust.’
Jane Campion ( New Zealand film maker. She wrote and directed The Piano and The Power of the Dog.)
‘Authenticity means erasing the gap between what you firmly believe inside and what you reveal to the outside world.’
Adam Grant ( American Science Author, he is a Professor specializing in Organizational Psychology) You can listen to him speaking if you press this :
The surprising habits of original thinkers

” As long as you are green you are growing. As soon as you’re ripe, you start to rot.” So says
Ray Kroc.
There is also a folk saying:
” parsley seed must go to the devil and back nine times before sprouting!”
( It can take weeks for parsley seed to sprout!)
“How does the above shell picture link with Parsley, Sandy?” A question by Roy reading this . “Well dear Roy , love sometimes takes a long time to germinate, it may also go rough and then when it exists, if it stays green it won’t go rotten.”❣️
Thank you for reading this Valentine post.

Yes, it was a post by another blogger who made me remember that these shells were in a frame in my work area. Sometimes you don’t see what is right in front of you until you are nudged.
