Agapanthers and Scabious structures

Here comes three question from God:

“Where were you when I laid the foundation of the earth?

Tell me if you have understanding who set its measurements?

Since you know. Then who stretched the line on it?

Job 38 : 4 – 5
Green , yellow , grey-black
Age in colour
No longer tipped in funnel shaped blue flowers gently or fiercely moving their whole
Agapanther – structure .
These rigid stems have carried their summer beauties,
they have held the weight of the visiting bees and insects.
Proudly encouraging entrance by growing taller than their leaves.
Now three from a group are admired for their colour, smooth strength and winter architectural good looks.
Scabious
a spiky ball after the many soft pink florets have dropped and weather has shaped it.
A small flower pot,
a gift from students long ago ,
filled with black Italian beech sand,
a good support for these stems brought in from winter today.

Guillaume Apollinaire said something I don’t fully understand but maybe you do.

“A structure becomes architectural, and not sculptural , when it’s elements no longer have their justification in nature.”

He was French and of Polish descent. He was a poet, playwright, short story writer, novelist and art critic. He lived 1880-1918. I wonder if I have used ‘architectural ‘ and ‘sculptural’ in the way he explanes them ? ...

Google and Sandy.

I prefer winter and fall, when you feel the bone structure of the landscape. Something waits beneath it; the whole story doesn’t show.

Andrew Wyeth

I want to be around people that do things, I don’t want to be around people anymore that judge or talk about what people do. I want to be around people that dream and support and do things.

Amy Poehler (American comedian , actress, writer , producer and director. Wow, doing all that she must have found the people to be around!)

A little thought about Christmas this year. An alternative advert made here in England “Santa may be ill/poorly/sick”. Press on Go kart advert.

Sandy. 🙂

  1. Food for thought here!
Hope you’ll have a wonderful Christmas anyway…. It’s going to be quite a lonely one for us.
