Yew stems with smoketree, cardoon, sea holly and curry plant and a visit to Greys Court, Henley on Thames

If we have on the heavenly armor, we will find that the assaults of the enemy will not have power over us.  Angels of God will be round about us to protect us.  The exact words are in Ephesians 6: 10 and onward.

The Bible.
Yew, cardoon, smoketree leaves , sea holly,  and curry plant all in the rusty metal ‘trug’.

Greys Court

Looking at this house that has been a home since 1086  brings the past flooding into one’s imagination.  In 1969 the Brunner family  gave it  to the National Trust with the agreement that  Mrs Brunner continued to live in the house until her death. She past away  in 2003.  Her furniture in the house is mostly 17 th and early 18th century English furniture in mahogany, walnut and oak. It is all how she left it. A very homely comfortable  feel.
Notice our rain clouds but the yellow of the grassland . This is looking out over the fields to the right of the house.

The National Trust is a charity which you can join as a member and then visit their properties without paying an entrance fee. Thank you for looking at my post I hope you liked this bit of old England.
