Day 10 South Africa. In my sister’s garden.

And the Lord God said unto the serpent, because thou hast done this, thou art cursed above all cattle and above every beast of the field; upon thy belly shalt thou go, and

And I will put enmity between thee and the women, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.

Genesis 3 : 14,15
The granite, sedum, fern and possibly a type of zebra grass very much like hen and chickens but very tough / thick …all growing close together in a garden.
The majesty of a mountain, a presence, ever in site from the cared for garden.
A small part of the garden.

The mug is from Kruger with the granite rock a reminder of elephant hide.

This mountain, the arched back of the earth risen before us it made me feel humble like a beggar, just lucky to be here at all, even briefly.

Edward Albee
