a white/creamy yellow flower then in the afternoon the pollen is released and it is self pollinated. Once pollinated the flower slowly changes to pink and in a few days it is a bright fuschia colour. The fuschia bloom then dries down. The young boll pushes its way up forcing the pink bloom to fall off. The boll continues to grow as the fiber and seed grows. Then as the fibers mature, the cotton boll opens slowly and the bracts dry and separate. The bracts are still holding the white bolls on these bought stems in the vase.
Grace is the voice that calls us to change and then gives us the power to pull it off.

Is that real cotton? We have something that looks similar that grows wild by the side of the road. I must take a pic and compare them.
