5 Cosmos flowers, 2 buds and leaves

Faith talks in the language of God. Doubt talks in the language of man.

E.W.Kenyon
Self seeded Cosmos flowers 2021 from parent plants of a warmer early summer 2020.
Cosmos leaves and stems.
Loss of petals. As I started taking the pictures one petal fell from the slight breeze then a second as I tried to gently rearrange and finally a third. I was not going to replace this flower. It was part of the group and had a role.
The petals, vase and tortoise. The petals mark easily when touched. Notice the white on the back of the petal and the ridges. The tortoise was given to my mother, a nurse, with a few second hand clothes for us girls. Mum kept the tortoise on her dressing table and it was given to me either by her on one of her visits to us or by my sister on the death of my mother. I sign my floral arrangements with the tortoise in her memory. The vase lavishly patterned was bought for
£1
in a Dorset charity shop.
Beautifully different
Pollen on the petals
The early morning of the next day. Still beautiful.

If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart, you will be saved. For it is by believing that you are made right with God, and it is by confessing that you are saved.

Romans 10: 9-10

  1. Beautiful. I didn’t know the story of the tortoise! I wonder what other stories you have that I missed. 🥰
