This pale blue Iris comes out of the ground alone without any leaves. It stands about 6 inches/ 15cm tall. This was taken on 15 March.
Today it is 17 March. Welcome to our world . The Iris is now fully open. It is Saint Patrick’s day.
It is a natural light falling on a delicate flower .
All its curls and lemonyellow touches on different tints of blue.
So much to see when looking into it.
An open face.
I picked it.
Because watercolour actually moves on the paper, it is the most active of mediums, almost a performance art. What I love about watercolour is that a lot of happy accidents occur.
