Cobwebbed houseleek and stonecrop.

God says: “I will give you a new heart and will put a new Spirit in you. I will take out your stony, stubborn heart and give you a tender responsive heart.”

‘Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.

Ezekiel 36:26 , Proverbs 3:5-6
A shallow container with two different plants.
A cobwebbed houseleek with its green dome shapes
and white stonecrop,
small fat leaves on stalks, growing through it.

Grow through what you go through.

Grow at your pace.

Grow with the flow.

A ‘bowl’ or rather a conical frustum.
A frustum is created by slicing the top off a cone .
A truncated cone.

A truncated cone .

A satisfying shape from narrow base to welcoming round wide mouth.

All circular with accentuating lines.

Here are three sayings we use in a truncated form. I have then given it in the full form.

Starve a cold, feed a fever. If you starve a cold , you’ll have to feed a fever.

Jack of all trades, (positive) master of none.(derogatory) Jack of all trades, master of none, though oftentimes better than master of one.

Here is one that has a different meaning from its truncated form: Blood is thicker than water. The blood of the covenant is thicker than the water of the womb.

To go back to this word grow

A cyclemon .
One from the original six planted out approximately 18 months ago.
This one has survived and thrived as I brought it in last winter and now.
Two other plants are weak and the other three haven’t made it.

I love those who can smile in trouble, who can gather strength from distress, and grow brave by reflection. ‘ Tis the business of little minds to shrink, but they whose heart is firm , and whose conscience approves their conduct, will pursue their principles unto death.
