Jesus asked this question:
Who do people say I am?
His friends said :
Some say John the Baptist others say Elijah and mostly they say you are a prophet.
Then Jesus asked this question:
Who do you say I am?
The friends all stayed quiet. But then Peter said:
You are the Christ.
Then Jesus said something that hurt.
Don’t tell this to anyone because I am going to die and on the third day I will rise.
Peter was upset and he told Jesus what he , Peter, thought of this dreadful plan. Jesus then called him Satan and told him to go behind him where he couldn’t see him. He , Jesus , had come to die for our sins not to win the fight against the Romans. Peter had got it all wrong and sometimes we do too.
