Seven Roses, a sunset, silk on the loom and a squash/pumpkin.

Jesus asked this question:

Who do people say I am?

His friends said :

Some say John the Baptist others say Elijah and mostly they say you are a prophet.

Then Jesus asked this question:

Who do you say I am?

The friends all stayed quiet. But then Peter said:

You are the Christ.

Then Jesus said something that hurt.

Don’t tell this to anyone because I am going to die and on the third day I will rise.

Peter was upset and he told Jesus what he , Peter, thought of this dreadful plan. Jesus then called him Satan and told him to go behind him where he couldn’t see him. He , Jesus , had come to die for our sins not to win the fight against the Romans. Peter had got it all wrong and sometimes we do too.

Seven roses in a vase

Seven Roses from our Christmas guest. My son’s new friend from the Ukraine. Kindness and pleasant company brought its own Christmas joy
from a place of heartfelt courage and perseverance .

Petals the colour of a sunset. A sunset the colour of petals.

A sunset taken from Bugzy’s window while travelling from the cold of Rieti
( a city in the centre of Italy)
to Tuscano
a warmer place.
(Once you had driven through some tunnels.)

Silk dyed with the colour of a sunset and petals . A woven mix of colour.

A pumpkin with the power locked inside to grow the colour of a sunset, petals and silk.

After sitting in our coats in a very cold place of warship on a Sabbath in
Rieti Italy
a lady who had seen us there came to place this enormous ‘ pumpkin ‘ in my arms .
A gift from her and her garden.

The power of a seed.

Who did/do you say Jesus was/is ?

A baby. Yes ! But then…

Darkness cannot drive out darkness, only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate, only love can do that.
