Sirolo Italy

Jesus invites us to drink the water He can give us. Not the real thing but something so special that it will be like a well of water inside the person springing up into everlasting life.

John 4: 14 (with some of Sandy’s undestanding)

A medieval town with several beaches within 10 minutes walking distance from the center.

The bell tower, restaurants and open air market. Sirolo today…
…with people enjoying the view of the sea and beaches .
Interestingly some were swimming and lying warm in the sun while others had jackets on.
A change in season.
It was 25 in the sun but the shade was cool for some.
A pleasant walk of just 10 minutes.
My son has joined us for a while as we travel.
An easy entrance, and hardly anyone in sight.
Sirolo is famous for
the most enticing beaches in the region. We came early and left by 11am.
(A South African habit.)
This was when the local people were coming to enjoy this enchanting place.

Nothing is softer or more flexible than water, yet nothing can resist it…

Leo Tzu ( 571 BC Chninese philosopher and writer)

The water is clear and clean with small fish swimming with you and around you a pleasant feeling. They have a distinctive black circle or dot on the small ones, this is just where the divided fin tail starts. There small bodies rub up against you now and then. Not unpleasant.

When you lie flat in the water with your head back and ears covered with its glass smoothness you can hear the crackle of the stones rolling against each other, an other worldly echoing sound. A pleasant experience.

” water is your friend … you don’t have to fight with water, just share the same spirit as the water, and it will help you move” (Alexander Popov 1971 Russian swimmer.)

The sea, once it casts its spell, holds one in its net of wonder forever…

We forget that the water cycle and the life cycle are one.

Jacques Yves Cousteau ( explorer, inventor, filmmaker, he sailed the world for much of the late 20th century educating millions about the Earth’s oceans and its inhabitants – and inspiring their protection.)

Thousands have lived without love, not one has lived without water.

WH Auden (1907-1973 British -American poet.)

I hope we have rain in the right places at the right time. Take care.

Sandy 🙂
