Offagna in the lights of the night and then in morning light!
lights up the building works as well as the flowers of the night.
Shutters closed and arched doors still locked.
Then the bells began to ring . The ones from the smaller church first…
Then a warning from the pigeons that something was about to happen. They all took flight, a cloud of them from the big bell tower. I don’t blame the pigeons. Look at the size and movement of these bells.
Then walk into the relative quiet of the church…
Could it be Thomas? ” Except I shall see in His hands the print of the nails, and put my hand in His side, I will not believe.” Then out again and on the medieval walls.
A village by night and morning light surrounded by farmland well ploughed ready for rain. This is their season for rain and it is far too warm. Looking at the forecast 80% chance on Friday and Saturday. Let us hope for that.
A thought that I will use and now have shared with you:
A truly great book should be read in youth, again in maturity and once more in old age, as a fine building (town) should be seen by morning light, at noon and by moonlight.(lamplight?)

The bells were something but the flight of the pigeons was too. They made me look up before the bells started there gongs. Glad you liked the photos.

My absolute pleasure. Sometimes where we park they still use bells to ring the time of day. ( not through the night) Glad it brought back childhood memories.

You would have a lot to choose from. They are amazing.
