Comacchio and the badlands Italy.

Don’t conform to patterns given to you by the world, but be transformed by the renewing of how you think about things, process and make connections. Then you will be able to test and give approval to God’s will for you.

Romans 12:2 (Sandy’s understanding)
The delta’s rich soil ready for planting.
The eel rich water of the Po Delta
The sun leaving the town of Camacchio.
Bess loves to walk on a wall. Here two canals meet in this Delta town of Comacchio.

The Po Delta

A delta rich in soil,
Vegetables, eels for the water
Comaccho not Venice.
No pretence.
Waterways used so houses can be on the land between.
Porto Garibaldi fat and wide
Canal Lombardo flowing slim and changing name.
A town so quiet and unseasonably warm (25C at 5pm) that one worries to wake the walls or disturb the prayers.

A delta so that every tree has significance
Each wall its colour
No blending just a fading mirage.

Can one's mind be such?
No mountains or valleys to hide ideas.
Fertile soil for ideas. If that is the case then what about the mountains of the badlands?
(A real name given by the Italians to the blue clay mountains rich with fossil beds formed from sedmints of an open sea.)
A name of an area we drove through to get to the delta.
Here in their
valleys Kiwi fruit hangs in grapevine rows ready for picking while vineyards start turning yellow and red.
Olive groves with orange groves soak in the sun.
Then large areas of vegetables all in the soil of the badlands .
Their blue clay rich in fossils but left with their sage growing wild.

All a thought!

The sun on the fossil rich badlands where the wild sage grows.
The badlands in the distance and a vineyard in the foreground with …
Kiwi in rows for mile upon mile.

A couple of thoughts about soil:

How can I stand on the ground every day and not feel its power? How can I live my life stepping on this stuff and not wonder at it?

William Bryant Logan.(Award winning writer, faculty member at the New York Botanical Garden.)

To forget how to dig the earth and to tend the soil is to forget ourselves.

Gandhi. (Indian political activist)

Thank you for looking at my post. It has been a lovely warm day.
