Cyclamen pink and white

Paul stood on Mars Hill next to an alter with an inscription:

TO THE UKNOWN GOD

He then said I want to introduce you to Him. He is the One who made the world and the things in it. He made the heavens and the earth. He doesn’t need to be worshipped with things as He gives life and breath to all things. He asks you to seek for Him and feel for Him, eventhough He is very close to us.

Sandy’s understanding of what Paul said. In the Bible it is found in Acts 17: 22-28
The cyclamen from October 2021 as they are today. They showed their pink flowers much earlier than I noticed. Hidden from view in deep shade and not at all cared for during our hot spell.
I have brought them out and watered them.
Two left from the six. One pale one bright.
So pleased to see them now autumn is here.
They have survived so well.

I told her once I wasn’t good at anything. She told me survival is a talent.

Susanna Kaysen (American author 1993)

Sometimes even to live is an act of courage.

Lucius Annaeus Seneca (4BC-65AD) His brother was Gallio, who met Saint Paul, the apostle in Achaea in 52AD, and his younger brother was the father of the poet Lucan. Seneca became the tutor to the future emperor Nero… the story goes on and it is fascinating…
Three new white potted Cyclamen. Their five united petals turn into a five-chambered sticky fruit that is attractive to ants, as they are designed to be dispersed by them (or the ant is made to like sticky food🤔) Their tuber is like a black turnip, round. Their name comes from Greek , kyklaminos, meaning circle.

So much of memory comes from the beginning of our lives when we know the world for the first time with a kind of clarity. It is that discovery of the past in the present on which a writer depends again and again as if our lost childhoods , like the surprising cyclamen plant are forever opening new blossoms.

Susan Shreve

“You think your pain and your heartbreak are unprecedented in the history of the world, but then you read. It was books that taught me that things that tormented me most were the very things that connected me with all the people who were alive, who had ever been alive.”

James Baldwin (1924-1987) writer and playwright. He wrote honestly about racial and sexual oppression.

Today is an important day for us. We will know who represents us to the world and chooses who our decision makers will be (the cabinet). Our Prime Minister will be chosen not by us but the party in power. Thank you for looking at my post .
