Olive trees don’t need much in terms of nutrition as they thrive in poor stony soil. They are evergreen and their wood is very hard and beautifully grained. If cut down it shoots from its roots. Some trees are estimated to be 1,000 years old. Our tree is at least seven years old and a topping of fertiliser once a year keeps it healthy.

Ah , yes mine came from my Mum being given some old silver cutlery and this little tortoise in a wooden box while private nursing a dear old lady . Mum then kept it on her dressing table and I used to play with it, hooking off the tail. When mum passed Shelly brought it to me. A treasure.
