New growth now and seeded in Helichrysum italicum.

The Father gave us the law and the Son died to magnify it and make it honourable… The law of Jehovah is the tree, the Gospel is the fragrant blossom and fruit which it bears. Some interesting vesrses are 1John 2:4, Romans 6:15..23

A bowl in a bowl. The inside bowl with fresh leaves in water and dried seed heads in the outside bowl.

The new growth from the helichrysum italicum (curryplant) came when I cut it back in mid June. I kept the brown heads of the flowers and was pleased to see them open with their seeds displayed in flower- shaped cups. The angelica seed heads are from yesterday. They have dried out and are easy to work with individually and separate from the mother stalk. They give rich brown strength to the arrangement.

New growth and bright yellow buds on the shrub in the garden.
A visitor to the dew covered grey of new leaf growth early this morning.

Happiness is neither virtue nor pleasure nor this thing nor that but simply growth. We are happy when we are growing.

William Butler Yeats(1865-1939 an Irish poet , dramatist and writer)

Between stimulus and response there is a space. In that space is our power to choose our response. In our response lies our growth and our freedom.

Victor E. Frankl (1905-1997 Austrian neurologist psychiatrist , philosopher, writer and Holocaust survivor.)

The strangest principle of growth lies in the human choice.

George Eliot ( real name Mary Ann Evans 1819-1880 English novelist, poet, journalist.)

The smell of angelica and curry on my hands after working with this plant material is earthy and sweet. The time spent early this morning in the garden has been sunny but cool. I wonder if there will be more rain. I guess we can hope. Thank you for looking at my post. 😊

  1. Interesting and attractive arrangement. Seeds can be just as pretty as flowers. Love the bowl in a bowl. Good book underneath them too!
Hope you’re having more rain. We’re looking forward to the rainy season here – everything is so dry.
    Happy Sabbath, my sister.

    1. Thank you Shelly. We haven’t had more rain but it is cool. Your home and wild garden is so special . I hope spring brings you rain for the sake of all the animals too . Have a blessed Sabbath. Hugs to you and
