Dill and Angelica

Now is the judgement of this world: now shall the Prince (Satan) of this world be cast out. And I (Jesus), if I am lifted up from the earth, will draw all people to me. This Jesus said predicting the death He would die… I have come to save the world… those who reject me has one who judges him/her, the word I have spoken, the same will judge him / her in the last day. God gave me a commandment, what I should say. And I know his commandment is life everlasting. John 12: 33-50

(This is where this is found. Clearly this is Sandy’s understanding but really worth reading and trying to understand. It is Jesus talking about Himself and his relationship with God. Fascinating.)

Dill

Dill in the heat of this morning with its feathery leaves going brown.
Fig tree leaves in the foreground and thyme and oregano at the feet of the tall flowering Dill.

The sun, with all those planets revolving around it and dependent on it,  can still ripen a bunch of grapes as if it had nothing else in the universe to do.

Angelica

Angelica in the garden heavy with seed and drying fast in this heat. It grows in slightly acidic soil and normally likes dappled shade.  Places like Iceland, Lapland and Greenland are where they grow well.  Our plants need some new soil and care.  We have three plants and over the last 10 or so years they have reduced in size. They used to grow as tall as the Cardoons.

We are like the herb that flourisheth most when trampled upon.

Walter Scott 1771 – 1832 He was a Scottish historical novelist, poet, playwright and historian.

(It has been said that angelica root is rustic, providing a fragrance that’s equivalent to walking barefoot in the grass.  It is the opposite of conspicuous consumption for consumption sake.)

Today it was above 40 at Heathrow. I guess we need to be  reminded by Voltaire that

“Men argue. Nature acts. “

Thank you for looking at my post the day temperature records were broken here in the UK.

      1. 😂🤣😁🤣😂your description is so funny. It was a hot day but I’m not even sure if it felt as bad for me. I stayed inside, had lots to drink all day and slept with the fan. Last night was a bit hotter than it felt tolerable, but thank God it’s cooler today. 🙏🏾❤️🥰😁
