A prayer
The God of all grace, who has called us into his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after your season of suffering a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you.
To Him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen

Why would you ask how long they last. (Perhaps in hope that it would be more.) Be very gentle as you remove the ones that have had their day because the buds are close by.
You discover your voice. You matter.
Maybe not to the world, yet.

The red hot pokers and lavenders were planted two years ago where they can get some needed sun. The flower spikes of both plants attract the bees and butterflies, while if the red hot pokers were in my sister’s garden (SA) they would attract the hummingbirds. The lavender buds are just starting to open and if we have a warm week I will start picking them with long stems to tie together and dry.
