A family run campsite near Viver, Valencia, Spain

And I urge all people, to warn and give advice to the idle, encourage the discouraged and worried, help the weak, be patient with them all.

1Thessalonians 5 : 14

A family are painting and repairing various areas of this well-loved camp site getting ready for the “busy time”. A married son is looking after the shop and painting the swimming pool while his wife creaosols the planters. There is a lady of mature age, and she is getting a little irate with everyone. You see her here, there and everywhere with a bucket, a broom, a scraper.  She seems to know what to say where and what to do where. l imagine she is the owner or the owner’s wife. She has a proper workers pinafore on . The others are  in casual swim wear and / or  T shirts. The site has a number of caravans and tents all well secured and ready for their owners to return to and enjoy. All homely, cool  and under the pines.

The patio looking over the hills.
Here are some of the empty spaces…

This morning I was sure I heard peacocks and here  he is  a pure white one.

A peacock living with chickens. I think this is on a neighbouring farm as I went through a rather large gate.

A peacock has too little in its head, too much in its tail.

Swedish Proverb

Poor peacock but it does have “longness”:

long neck, long feathers, long legs and a crown  .

White peacocks are not  albinos.  They have a genetic mutation that is known as Leucism, which causes the lack of pigments in the plumage. What a privilege to see this bird but living with chickens …

Today we are waiting for the weather to change. It is no fun for us or Bess to be in a hot city or town.  We may have to wait a good while.

The key to everything is patience.  You get the chicken by hatching the egg not smashing it.

  And

What the hen said when she saw the scrambled egg … my children are mixed up..

    1. Oh Kelly I didn’t know white peacocks existed either. Didn’t he pose admirably standing with his tail flowing out behind. I did enjoy it all so much. I thought it was going to be such a quiet day sitting in the heat but I was amused. Thank you for reading my post. Hugs from me.
