Calella and Peratallada

Jesus told a story about the importance of building on the Rock meaning Himself and foolishly building on sand. We all have a choice and as Mother Teressa said ” Be faithful in small things because it is in them that your strength lies.”

Matthew 7 : 24 – 27 ( this is where the story of building on the rock or sand is found.)
Calella with several small, sandy, cove beaches.

The sea mists were coming in but the sands were warm and the water inviting. The town is quiet today as it is a week day and out of holiday season.

” The ocean mist engulfs me, like a lifetime’s friendship honored.”

Sanober Khan ( I couldn’t help but agree as this happened to me while swimming)
Water breaking on the rocks in the cove. Then a visit to…

Peratallada

The far distance provides the first sighting of Medieval Peratallada. First dates for it are 1065. We spent about half an hour on the road between these two special places.
A courtyard.
Looking down one of the many medieval streets.

Bougainvillea take us to paradise and provide incredible joy. They are flowers with great strength and beauty : strength to live and be happy and beauty to share with others.

You never know how strong you are , until being strong is your only choice.
