Sleeping near a lake with families who have come for the weekend. We are 30 minutes from Girona (Spain)

Behold, I am the Lord God, the God of all flesh: is there anything too hard for me?

Jeremiah 32: 27

We are 30 minutes from Girona. The camp site had few people last night but the birds sang so much through the night that I got up to Google the question : Why do birds sing at night? The answer was more than this but this amused me. The birds (I wish I could give you their names from all their different songs.) are needing to communicate that they intend to keep their rich food supply for themselves and the male with the most elaborate song gets the lady. With that knowledge I smiled and went to sleep.

The lake enjoyed by so many young people cycling in groups or swimming in designated areas.
A close up of a flag Iris like those probably not ready to bloom in Popeswood Meadow. These plants grow in shallow water and in roadside ditches.

Cycling back it was easy to notice the bark changes on this group of trees as the limbs came out higher up.

Cycling into the campsite these poppies were behind a fence. A wild life protected area.

I wonder which of these quotes you identify with…

It doesn’t matter which side of the fence you get off on sometimes. What matters most is getting off. You cannot make progress without making decisions.

Jim Rohn

Love recognises no barriers. It jumps hurdles, leaps fences, penetrates walls to arrive at its destination full of hope.

Maya Angelou

Don’t ever take a fence down until you know why it was put up.

Robert Frost.
