Spanish lavender/French lavender/ Butterfly lavender . It is recognised by its extravagant ears! My mum used to sing ” Lavender blue dilly, dilly…lavender green… long before I knew what lavender looked like. The bright yellow flowers are pea- like and smell like honey – vanilla. They are growing to 10 feet tall here in the hills and are winter hardy but can’t grow in the shade. And me Sandy.
