Dead nettles in flower with 3 Dandelions

I picked these dead-nettles and dandelions yesterday. They were growing on the verge of the road. As a flower they represent hope, growth and healing.

But dandelions was what she mostly saw. Yellow jewels for everyday studding the patched green dress of her back yard. She liked their demure prettiness second to their everydayness; for in that latter quality she thought she saw a picture of herself, and it was comforting to find that what was common, could also be a flower.

White dead nettle flowers and leaves do not sting. These flowers cluster together in whorls around the stem. There are some black dots under the white petals like black eggs. ( I don’t know exactly what insect has placed them there
but I have found out that the Red Admiral, Comma and Small Tortoiseshell butterflies lay eggs on nettles. Their larva is seen munching the leaves.)

A below surface combination of the square red stem of the nettle and the pale green rounded stem of the Dandelion.

This morning I looked at the group in the glass and the dandelions looked three quarters asleep. The dark pencil lines on their outer petals at their best.

Cause-and-effect will not explain even the individuality of a single dandelion.
