Another cup of tea / flowers😜

“Whosoever will be great among you, let him serve others”

Matthew 20 : 26 In context this was said after all Jesus’ friends sat waiting to have a servant wash their dirty feet. Jesus got up took a bowl and washed them clean. Serving is part of leadership.

This coming Sunday will be Mother’s day here in Britain. It is with joy I remember my Mother and her prayers.

My sister said a little while ago: “Don’t worry Sandy Mum prayed for you. It is all covered.”

I had to smile when Shelly went on to say that one day in the hospice Mum had said she was bored of just lying there. Shelly’s response was to ask her to think of all that her four grandsons might need to be prayed for, and then tell God about it right then. My Mum with her nursing background certainly had a wonderful, colourful imagination and so my dear Mum spent some silent time in prayer.

I guess in the earth made new we will have a chat about that small moment in time in the light of eternity. 🤗❤🙂

I remember my mother’s prayers and they have always followed me. They have clung to me all my life.

But a tea cup chosen by my late mum. A charity shop find.
These flowers from my garden are in memory of her and her love of a nice cup when drinking tea.
Why is tea served in a china cup?  China clay is a bad conductor of heat and checks the heat conduction from the tea to the surroundings.  Bone china is made from china clay, china stone and bone ash (made from animal bones). The quality of bone china is determined by the total amount of bone ash included in the raw materials.  High quality fine bone china contains at least 30% bone ash, enabling thin, walled pieces to be made which are more delicate and translucent.

The heart of a mother is a deep abyss at the bottom of which you will always find forgiveness.
