Bloody Currant / Ribes sanguine Pursh

God’s love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us.

Romans 5:5
This red- flowering currant is noted more for its attractive flowers than tasty berries. The fruits are better for the birds than us.

The flowers of late winter and early spring occupy places in our hearts well out of proportion to their size.

G.Wiser
This bushy medium sized shrub is growing near the pond. It likes mildly alkaline moist soil and semi – shade. It’s bunches of small pink flowers are wonderful to see and here are three stems in a recycled olive oil bottle. 🙂

No matter how long the winter,

spring is sure to follow.

English Proverb

Though our feelings come and go, God’s love for us does not.

C. S. Lewis
