Day 14 and 15 South Africa. My sister’s back “garden” , Mariepskop and some ants.

By their fruit you will recognise them. Do people pick grapes from thornbushes, or figs from thistles.

Matthew 7: 16
A mature Kudu lily in the foreground of the back garden. They have swollen stems and trailing branches armed with spines. The leaves are glossy green with wavy edges.
An ancient Kudu lily.
A Kudu doe.
I took this photo while in the Kruger. Kudu visit this back garden in autumn and winter when it is dry . They eat whatever they can find. This is also the period when the white Kudu lilies bloom.
A bush buck visiting the wild garden today Sabbath. It also enjoys eating the Kudu lily to the left of it. I took this from the lounge window.
Mariepskop at 6,000 feet overlooking Blyde dam.
All good work is done the way ants do things: Little by little.
