Heather

The God of love and peace will be with you.

2 Corinthians 13 : 11
These few stalks of Heather lost many of their little buds as I worked with them. They are in a boot vase which was given to my mother as a florist gift on the day I was born. It is a link with that day and I am so pleased my mother kept it for me. As a child I would put geranium flowers in it.
A pot of Heather in the house must be kept moist otherwise it dies. If it dries out it will keep its colour and be a “dry arrangement”🙂 but it will never revive.
Heather flowers commonly mean good luck, admiration, and protection. Various cultivars come in white, pink, purple, red. There are varieties for Summer / Autumn / Winter / Spring. They are great for a low maintenance garden.

If you would like to see Heather growing naturally here in England please look at my posts: Walking the paths round Hardy’s Cottage… and A simple life : T. E. Lawrence’s Cloud Cottage and Trail.

God cannot give us a happiness and peace apart from Himself, because it is not there. There is no such thing.
