This arch was completed in 1693 with four panels added in 1715 to honour the reign of Louis XIV. One of the four celebrates the digging of the Canal La Midi which we walked along in Carcassonne. Go through this arch to see the people enjoying their city on an October afternoon…

…friendly chatter with permission to photograph them…
…clearly friends in colour empathy,
… to the art of changing one thing into another,
…then mind exercise with chess…
…plants, trees and our Bess
… people who live with their dog…

… a market in the sun…
…an October reminder for ladies to check…
