Bess watching the motorbikes at the 24 hour Le Mans race track. There were quite a few going round and she would follow them through the corner for each.Just look at that steering wheel in the 1950s !

Walking along the Loire on Sabbath
A holiday house boat.Roy calls this bridge over the Loire “the wing mirror banger” we brought the mirrors in after cars squeezed past us. Pont de Montsoreau is its real name.The expanse of the bridge is 600m and construction started in 1911. It was opened in 1917 and is one of the longest in France. It was partially destroyed twice in 1940 and 1944 during World WarII.Our pitch for two nights at Montsoreau. The golden leaves of the trees bringing the season to an end. The camp site closes for this season tomorrow. What a blessing it has been.

Those tomatoes look delicious. I’ve stopped eating them here because they ask seem to be genetically modified. Looks like a wonderful place to spend a peaceful Sabbath. How would we cope without it. xx
