Viola/miniature pansies and a delicate heart.

The Lord is compassionate and merciful, slow to get angry and filled with unfailing love.

The Bible Psalm 103 : 8
These Viola are from my new plants I put in the garden this month of September. My journey with them could last for 8 months. They aren’t usually very pretty in the shortest days of winter but their blooms are stronger and lovelier in the Spring for having gone through such bleak days.
They can be planted in borders, containers, woodland and used for edging. They love full sun or partial shade.
Pansies were derived from Viola, so technically all pansies are Viola but not all violas are pansies! Violas are tougher in the winter. I wish mine well and wonder what sort of winter we will have.
FIVE different colours of Viola faces. Characteristics of Viola: Deer resistant, evergreen and fragrant. The most common scent is of honey.
The tactile, heart shaped, finely made bowl is in pale green and a wonderful delicate support to the Viola.
This shows the gentle curvature formed for the side
of the container giving it a modern vibe. The heart bowl was a gift from my sister – in – law at the wedding of my nephew.

Love is the river of life in the world.

Henry Ward Beecher
