Rocket / Argula, Primroses, Feverfew and Chamomile

“Whatsoever thy hand findeth to do, do it with thy might; for there is no work, nor device, nor knowledge, nor wisdom, in the grave, whither thou goest.”

The Bible Ecclesiastes 9:10
Sweet Rocket leaves hanging over the edge of the vase.

Purple, Sweet Rocket flowers with a sweet fragrance earlier this summer. They are rich in nectar and highly attractive to bees and butterflies. Now just wonderful edible leaves.

Growing with the Sweet Rocket are these Primroses.
Yellow Common Primrose are perennials and Roy would give me a little pot of these when we were studying together at University. The white daisies, Feverfew, are in the middle of the vase and traditionally known as “medieval aspirin.”

White Chamomile daisies hanging over the side of the vase can be used to make tea. It is a digestive relaxant.

These are the leaves and flowers growing together in the garden container this September. A cheery yellow, green and white display.

I have shared a blog which I read just before publishing. I hope to try this recipe out soon and put the garden rocket / Argula to good use. Just press on the word recipe below.

Recipe using Arugula

“And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying. Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and He will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God. And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.”

The Bible Revelation 21: 3,4

  1. That’s photo of your garden reminds me of Aunty Louise’s garden on the farm. Pure pleasure. The recipe looks heavenly. Just smelling crushed rocket is almost intoxicating for me. Lovely arrangements too.
