Grey leaves and morning light

Love prospers when a fault is forgiven.

Proverbs 17 : 9

Italian Straw flower or Curry plant grows on dry , rocky or sandy ground around the Meditteranean. I am surprised the 2 small plants I bought have grown so well during this grey summer. Behind is the Angelica I have cut down.

Dusty Miller or Silver Ragwort manages all the seasons here in the UK. Both Italian Straw and Dusty Miller have silver grey foliage and sunshiny yellow flowers.

Is gray with yellow too Much?

Yellow the designer's not colour (a yellow room makes babies cry more and frustrates)
But light- yellow ( happiness)
with gray ( caution and compromise)
Isn't that life?
Beautiful in contrast
Real in expectation
Enjoy light- yellow (happiness)
And grey! (a sense of peace).
That may be life
Dusty Miller and Italian Straw flower!

Early morning light on Dusty Miller, Italian Straw leaves, Mint flowers and Hydrangea flower.

How would you describe the smell of mint without using the word mint? FRESH, cool, bracing, aromatic, distinct, strong scented…

In the garden, the plant attracts beneficial insects and repels pests including fleas, mosquitoes and mice.

How would you describe the smell of Lavender one of the world’s most popular fragrances? LIGHT and fresh, floral but not overwhelmingly heavy. It also has herbal notes with balsamic undertones. Perhaps you can add more.

It promotes calmness and wellness, reduces stress, anxiety and possibly even mild pain. It represents purity, silence, devotion, serenity, grace and calmness.

It is the softest of sunlight and the start of a sunny day.

“Though the mountains be shaken and the hills be removed, yet My unfailing love for you will not be shaken,” says the Lord.

Isaiah 54 : 10

  1. You’re a good teacher! Yellow roses are my favourite. Those vases are stunning. Lovely arrangements. Love that ‘Bulawayo’ tortoise that pops up so often.
